A baseball klub tagjai külön osztályt alkotnak.
Ahogy a számtech terembe megyünk, elhaladunk a baseball osztályok mellett.
A hazafelé úton folyamatosan mosolyogtam.
Today was one of the best days of school so far, so I thought I would like to share it with everyone.
In the morning I got on a schoolbus, and arrived to school before half past 8. I brought my book with me, so as my classmates were reading English books, I was reading The Great Gatsby in Japanese.
In the first period, we filled a questionnaire about school life (do we have friends, is the school environment good, do the teachers pay enough attention to us) and one about the school festival (impressions, ideas).
The second period was kokugo (Japanese language and literature). I don't really pay attention on kokugo, I study Japanese kanji, but still I listen to what they say a bit. Now the class is talking about an old Japanese story, and I kind of realised that I'm interested in it, so if my Japanese level is high enough, I might try to join these lessons from the third trimester.
The third period was English communication. Every Tuesday, we have a native teacher, and this time we played a game with him. We were divided into groups of 5.
The backstory of the game was that there is a zombie apocalypse, and our team had to get to an island that is safe. There were some characters waiting to join our team.
The teacher introduced ten characters and we had to choose four out of them. Every character had merits and demerits. We had to say our reasons too, and every correct sentence was worth an extra day.
Then the teacher said how many plus or minus days does each character worth. There were also some combos. For example, if you put the greedy scientist in the group with the leader of Japan who has much money, the scientist will find the cure for the zombie disease and the team gets a bonus of 6 days.
My team ended with 2 days, and the winner team got 20, and we laughed a lot.
The next lesson was English grammar. Every week, we have a dictation test, where we have to write down 7 sentences correctly and then translate them to Japanese. I'm getting better at the Japanese translation, so I was proud of myself.
After lunch, we had to move to the computer room for computer class.
My school is very strong in baseball, the team got in the top 8 in the country this year. The baseball club is a different class, and we bypass those classes on the way to computer class.
When the baseball boys see me they always greet me with loud hellos (in English) and it always makes me shy.
However today I decided to return the greeting, so when the boys started saying hello I said Konnichiwa loud and smiling. The boys were really surprised that I was using Japanese and their reaction was so funny that we couldn't stop laughing until we reached the computer room.
After that I had Chemistry and World History.
Before going home, my homeroom teacher checked everyone's looks. She made sure that our nails weren't too long, our ears weren't pierced, our skirts weren't folded up, and she also checked the length of our hair (if the hair is below the shoulders we have to tie it up).
This was my day today. As I was going home, I was smiling all the time. I hope I'll have many days like this throughout my year.
