Az első igazi földrengésem // My first real earthquake

Minden pénteken a hatodik órám angol kommunikáció.
Pár percen belül megszólalt a hangosbemondó.

My 6th period every Friday is English communication. It was the same today too, I tried not to fall asleep, in which I succeeded, more or less. Still, as a matter of fact, I was extremely sleepy.
I don't know when the earthquake started, but I know that one moment I felt my chair slowly rocking back and forth. It was hardly noticeable, not moving more that 2-3 cms at a time and the movement was smooth too.
I didn't know what it was, so I didn't really pay attention to it.
And then, in the silence, one of my classmates whispered jishin, which means, yup, you guessed it, earthquake.
My heart started racing. I locked my eyes with one of my friends, and she just nodded, that yes, indeed this is a jishin. Many of my classmates were monitoring my reactions, because they knew that this was my first earthquake.
The shaking stopped shortly after it began, and the lesson continued.
Not so long after the speaker came to life. In the most objective voice possible, the voice said: 'Sorry for interrupting the lessons. Just now, the ground moved.'
Many of my classmates hoped that we would get sent home, because in the end, we just experienced a natural disaster, therefore we deserve to be sent home. Spoiler alert, we didn't.
In the speaker, they explained that the epicentre was near Fukushima, and they told us to pay attention to possible aftershakes. The lesson continued and I was 100% awake, payimg attention to the possible aftershakes. They didn't come.
After school, I checked the events of today online. Apparently, there was an earthquake im Fukushima, a number 5 on the Richter scale. I am guessing that I experienced a 2 in Saitama. It is so small that according to Wikipedia, not all people feel it.
Wikipedia was right this time, because my Norwegian friend, who has his classroom on the floor above mine, didn't feel anything. He was genuinely surprised when I told him that there was an earthquake.
